Learning From Failure

When is it time to give up on a dream?

I love helping people solve their problems, but even the best get stumped. Sometimes things are not solvable. Sometimes putting more blood and sweat into it is the last thing you want to do.

Sometimes, the only option to succeed is to give up. Give up and pivot. Give up and take a break. Give up and revalue. And even give up and get out.

Deciding where to go next will depend on your situation, but the first step, regardless of the failure or loss, will be the same.--- an evaluation of Values, Beliefs, Personal Strengths and Weaknesses, Burnout Potential, and the Business Model and Business Life Cycle.

Next, do an autopsy of your business, relationship, personal goal, etc. -- whatever failed. Followed by the organ donations, if you will. Are there pieces of your Side Hustle you can take with you to another job?

Lastly, if the thing you love can be loosely applied to a more financially secure job, then do it! --ideally one in demand. Look at the jobs in your area to see if they exist.

The same goes for hobbies. If you hurt your hands and you can't do your hobby anymore. Don't fight through the pain! Find something that will be just as rewarding.

And if it's people you are feeling defeated about.. I'm going to leave that one to the Relationship professionals (Anyone The Gottman Institute Certified), lol.

So When is it Time to Give Up?

When You Are Ready For A New Adventure

Stay Awesome :)
